SUCCESS! Pittsburgh has been awarded $11.32 million in grant funding to realize this project.
The Hill District RAISE grant application focused on transportation improvements in the historically disadvantaged Hill District of Pittsburgh. This neighborhood has suffered from racist federal policies such as redlining and a lack of investment in infrastructure.
For this project, I created:
a map focused on crash density and fatal and severe injury crashes
a cross section showing proposed improvements to Centre Avenue
the design and layout for the grant application
"Jaime did outstanding work for me on several different projects. She has a knack for showing a lot of varied types of data in a cohesive and organized way. Jaime even stepped in a few times to fix GIS mapping that was developed by amateurs the first time around, which resulted in pristine datasets and mapping the client could immediately use. Her skills in GIS coupled with other presentation software really helped us get from point A to the deliverable ahead of schedule and on budget. I'd work with Jaime again, no question."
